I began my track in social work as a babysitter when I was 15 years old. I continued this track through becoming a CNA and working at a nursing home for over five years. There, I assisted with activities of daily living which included medicine disbursement, assisting with shopping trips, accompanying the residents to doctors appointments, etc. I then broadened my experience through working with children. I was a counselor at a residential facility and a group home, where I was able to draw from my experience as a CNA to care for these children with their daily needs. Day by day, I continue to add to my knowledge of and ability in caring for others through babysitting, interning, and course work. lastly I am First Aid/CPR certified.
