Meet Mercy

  • Comfortable with pets

Hi my name is Mercy.I am a Arts Graduate from a prestigious Institution, Sophia College in India( Bombay). After completing my Graduation I joined St Margaret's Teacher Training College to qualify myself to be a teacher of little kids from the nursery level to Grade 5. A certified teacher with great experience of more than 30 years.Resigned as a school administrator to come to USA with my husband and daughter to have a change, see the world and very important to get my child the career she desired. Which she did. Started As a Librarian here in USA in an Elementary School and developed in little ones the love for reading and did Day--- care after school. Stayed in that field for 4 good years. It was a great experience , new country , new culture, new environment altogether. I wanted to do more, give individual attention and so switched Read more over to babysitter/ nanny profession. That was my ultimate desire to care for little ones in their home where they were most comfortable. Started this new experience with 4 months infant continued up to 3 years till they were ready for school. Having a multi -skilled personality helped me to a great extent. It has been my greatest joy sharing my skills like painting, art and craft, singing, dramatizing, and to top it all cooking and organizing and adapting myself to the behavior pattern of little ones who at times can be very demanding. Patience is a great virtue but as a teacher one has to have it inborn in them. They say " once a teacher is always a teacher' But I would still not deny that a parent (mother ) can be the best teacher. I can go on talking a lot but the best information can be got from families where I worked. They have been extremely good to me in every aspect. Unfortunately I had to leave as some had to go back to their hometown, some had health challenges or mother's decision to be a stay- home -mom. I still relish those moments of holding their little infants and looking into their eyes and promising them that I will give my very best to care and nurture them. Those families will be my great witnesses to narrate the kind of worker I was. Hope to hear from you.
