Hi, my name is Justine. I recently moved to Venice, CA from Brooklyn, NY, but am originally from Skokie, IL. I graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design. After college, I moved to the big apple where I worked as a publicist for multiple fashion labels. I am now pursuing my dream to start my own business and would love to share my positive energy and creative spirit with your family! At 25, I'm an older sister with two younger siblings (currently ages 21 and 18) and two younger step-siblings (currently ages 19 and 17). I spent my childhood teaching them everything I knew and beginning at age 13, I was babysitting them on my own. It was such a rewarding feeling to know that someone was looking up to me as a role-model. With a neighborhood full of families, word spread about my babysitting and Read more I was soon a regular for two other families. One of these families had three boys (ages 2, 5, and 8 at the time I started) and the other had two girls and a boy (ages 4, 5, and 9 at the time). Throughout high-school I worked at a Daycare Center for children aged 4 mos.- 13 years. It was definitely a change of pace to be watching so many children at once, but gave me the opportunity to work with kids of all ages and personalities. I also was asked to be a summer nanny for one of the families who attended the daycare (children aged 10 mos. and 2.5 years). After two years of working there, I was promoted to Supervisor and was in charge of coordinating daily crafts and activities. To this day, my favorite part of working with children is coming up with creative ways for them to express themselves. During my first year of college, I returned to babysit for families I had met through the daycare over the summer, but then began to focus my summers on interning for different fashion designers. In addition to my work with kids, I am also a passionate cook and don't mind laundry and cleaning. Also good with homework and tutoring! While I haven't had any recent experience working with children, I don't believe it's a quality that goes away. When deciding what I wanted to pursue at this point in my life, this was a very obvious choice for me. My past experience working with children, combined with my high-energy and creative personality would make me a wonderful fit for your family!
