I started babysitting when I was 14 years old for a neighbor of mine who had 2 little girls (1 year and 3 years old). I did this for about 3 years and then my senior year of high school I was an in home nanny for the same family. This is really where my interest in childcare started. I also had a huge passion for special education as my sister has down syndrome. Growing up with a sibling who has down syndrome taught me a great deal about patience and communication at a young age. I then went on to college and study kinesiology (with a focus on children). I interned at Golden Steps Physical Therapy where I assisted children with fine and gross motor skills and also assisted with their kids yoga (so much fun). While going to school I would also help care for 2 other little Read more girls (6 months and 1.5 years). I now am in the middle of working towards my massage therapy license. I would like to use this skill to work with children with arthritis and other physical challenges. I have always loved working and caring for children and I now have one of my own. I am looking for an opportunity to continue doing what I'm passionate about and would love to be considered for the position.
