My name is Jen and I am a 34-year-old college grad living in West Hollywood. I have over fifteen years of experience working with children as a babysitter, nanny, camp counselor, and substitute teacher with kids ages 3 mos- 13 years old. With that age span, I am familiar with many of life's challenges: learning a sleep schedule, teething, potty-training, mobility development, communicating, homework, sports, social development, etc. I also have experience with special needs and was a volunteer at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, so I am open to many different situations and circumstances. I have a BA in Film and Media Arts and enjoy cooking hiking, knitting, and yoga. I have also passed both Praxis exams for elementary education in the state of NJ. I have my own reliable car, love pets, and don't smoke. When I am working with kids, I love to stay creative and spontaneous, make up games and songs, go on adventures, and provide a safe, open environment for them to learn. I have experience with diet restrictions, eczema treatment, cloth diapers, and baby sign language. In the past, I have felt like an extension of the families that I work for and I really enjoy working as a team with parents to support each child's needs.
Please note that for my references' privacy and out of respect for their time, I prefer to, at the very least, have a phone interview before giving out their information. Thanks for understanding!
