Allison cared for my two boys for 18 months. They were 7 and 10 when she started as our after-school nanny and later, before school/after school nanny. She was reliable, always on time, and she always made sure the boys got their work done for school. She is a great communicator, so you will know if there is anything going on or if anyone is having any trouble with anything. She played with them outside, she took them to the neighborhood park, she played board games, she read with them, and occasionally watched a movie when they had earned it for good behavior. I have a "no electronics on school days" rule so she made sure to keep them occupied. My boys love her (and miss her) because of her sweet disposition (and the fact that she played video games with them during their permitted screen time on Fridays did not hurt at all). We were really sad to see her go. In fact, I tried to lure her back to us about six months later but she had moved out of the area, so now some other lucky family will get to have her as their caregiver.
