I have been watching children for about four years professionally. The first couple years, I started watching two beautiful kids full-time. I was caring for a 5-year-old boy with high functioning autism. Along with him, was his little sister who was 3 years old. I watched them for only two summers before I turned 16. In March 2014 after I graduated high school, I found this amazing family with a great little girl. Sadly, they are leaving for the month of December which brought me to another wonderful family. I will be taking care of two brothers; one 9-year-old and one 8-year-old who also are on the spectrum. This job is only temporary and after December, I will continue working with the one little girl but with fewer hours which I would like to fill. Between these jobs, I've had a few occasional jobs with different types of families, some Read more with twins and some with infants. I am CPR and First Aid certified and am great in high intensity situations. As for pet care, I have worked full time with children for a few years which requires a lot of patience and responsibility and I think to take care of pets you need the same attributes. I understand that it takes a lot of trust in a person to be able to let them take care of your animals and let them into to your home and I think I could be that person. I have two kittens and have grown up with different animals my whole life. I know the responsibilities and chores that come with animals. I also believe that pets are extremely important to every family, as if they a piece of everyone. I absolutely love being around every type of animal and always have.
