Currently, I have not had any experience as a paid nanny. However, I have experienced being a unpaid caregiver. When I was in 6th grade, my mom became extremely sick with Epilepsy. Because she was facing the side effects of strokes, I was given the responsibly of caring for my younger brother and sister. At the time, my brother was 5, my sister was 11, and I was only 12. Throughout that period of my life, I learned a lot about what it means to care for the needs of other. I have also had experience babysitting for other family members, such as cousins, and children within my neighborhood. I recently went on a month-long mission trip to Cambodia and Thailand as an intern. As a part of my internship, I helped organize and lead a week-long Vacation Bible School for about 125 kids from a small village that is Read more located on a minefield. I became a caregiver because I want to have more experience with children. I will be entering my freshman year of college in the fall, and I will be majoring in social work. I feel that having experience with children is extremely important in being effective in my future career. I am also looking for a job that will be able to accommodate my schooling. I love being a caregiver because it gives me the opportunity to express unconditional love. I am very passionate about the belief that everyone deserves to be loved and properly cared for, and being a caregiver allows me to act upon this belief. I believe that I am a good caregiver because working with children comes extremely easily to me. Kids are so joyful, and I like to bring that I bring out that joy in them! I am also extremely responsible and I am and always will be a kid at heart. I can promise you that your little ones will love me.
