Hello! I am currently looking for a family who would like me to take care of their children in my home starting June 1st. I am becoming a foster parent and would like to stay home as well as help your family. I have been a professional nanny for 4 years and been babysitting since I was 11. I currently nanny for two infant cousins and before that I worked with the same family for three years until their little girl started school. Ideally I would like to nanny one kiddo so I can give both children as much attention as possible. I am turning my finished basement into a play room and I'm excited to use that space to teach our little ones. My favorite part about being a nanny is that I'm able to spend my days at the pool, park, zoo, museum, or in a blanket fort. Read more I always feel so blessed that I get to have this much fun as my "job." I have been married to the love of my life and best friend for four years. We own a house, two reliable cars and have three large dogs who are our "fur babies." I am completely willing to keep the dogs separate from the children if that is your preference. I understood what it means to be responsible early in life, growing up in a house with five younger siblings. My whole life, I have felt comfortable in the role of caregiver. I love Colorado and everything it has to offer. I have just as much fun in snow as I do in sunshine, and I'm not one to pass up the opportunity to play in leaves or jump in puddles. I still enjoy taking younger children outside, even if they can't fully participate in outdoor activities. Through years of experience I have learned not to underestimate the power of a stroll through the neighborhood. I am a strong believer in sensory learning and exercise regardless of age. I believe being inside can be fun too; whether it's reading, singing, dancing, baking, block building, drawing, sculpting, putting on puppet show, or building the before mentioned blanket fort. I am no stranger to the butterfly pavilion, the zoo, children's museum, or aquarium and I would love to bring your children there. I have a clean driving record, and I am CPR/ First-Aid Certified. I love to learn and my research in child psychology and development helped me be more understanding and empathetic of where children are coming from. I hope to find another family that I can help long term, where I will have the opportunity to nurture and care for their child, so I may continue to do the job I love.
