If you seek a loving, enthusiastic nanny with a firm background in caring for children, you've found her! While I earned my degree in English at Indiana University, I have also worked in a NAEYC Level 5 Daycare/Pre-School, primarily as an aide in a classroom focused on toddlers aged 18-24 mos. The Woods Daycare provided experience with children from infants to school-age, and from this I have a solid understanding of pre-school structure and can help develop a daily schedule. Daycare was where I first realized my passion for quality childcare, and I've grown so much since then. I am currently working with a little boy aged 17 mos, whom I started watching at age 3 mos, and will miss him dearly after my husband and I move to be closer to family. Prior to my current family, I was a full-time nanny for a three-year-old boy for nearly a Read more year. In 2013, I was a full-time nanny for two awesome kids, a brother and sister aged 3 and 5 at the time. Working with toddlers is a blast, because I look forward to regular adventures outside and creative activities. Furthermore, I have now aided in the potty training of two boys. I have remained close to every family I've worked with, and care deeply for the families who make me a part of their lives. Outside of early childhood care, I was also a substitute teacher for almost two years, and divided my days between kindergarten/pre-k classes and middle and high school. I have experience teaching high-school English from a long-term assignment, in addition to a number of other educational activities. Ultimately, my goals are simple. Kids are colorful little people with tons of learning to do, and I want to help them do it and help make your lives easier, too. My rules are the parents' rules, but my biggest joy is discovering who is inside each child and doing everything in my power to guide them into becoming their best self. I like physical activity, arts and crafts, books, music, and nature. I am not afraid of any mess, and believe me, I've been tested. My CPR certification has lapsed, but I will be renewing it as soon as I can. I am extremely flexible with my availability, and I am happy to look after pets as well as provide meals and transportation. You can count on me to be there, on time, and ready to go.
