I have been caring for children since 1988. I love what I do. When my own son was born, he was having a difficult time adjusting to an in-home daycare, so I quit my executive job to stay home with him. I started a licensed day care home, caring for children of ages 6 weeks through 6 years. All the children grew up together and I never had anyone remove their child from my care. We played outside every day, whatever the weather! They tried new foods, and heard new languages in my home, as I had a great diversity of backgrounds in my children. As my children were growing up, I decided to provide foster care to children with special needs. There are now two teenage boys living with us who will be returning to their families this month. So it seems that "Nannying" is my next step! I Read more am trained and licensed in infant/child/adult first aid and CPR. I have been fingerprinted and background checked by the CBI and FBI. I attended Utica College of Syracuse University, majoring in Occupational Therapy. I work for Jeffco schools as a ParaEducator in the SPED department, working with a student with significant special needs. He will graduate from high school this year!
