Have a full time job but love spending time with the kiddos so try to babysit on the side. Evenings and weekends are typically when I am available. I have great respect for families homes, am comfortable with pets and can help with homework or house work. Certainly a fun babysitter but also will play by the parents rules. Elizabeth and I arranged for her to help out with our kids' over 4th of July weekend. Due to the demand for sitters in our area on such a busy holiday, I committed a week in advance. Elizabeth did follow up with several confirmations via text but the morning of she sent me a message informing me that she had a migraine and car trouble asking if she could arrive later than scheduled. I agreed but then an hour after that exchange I got another text informing me that she was still feeling ill and had to cancel. Though I can appreciate that illness can and will strike without notice to anyone, not having childcare for the rest of a busy holiday weekend, when many if not all of the sitters that I can contact in our area are already booked, is extremely bad timing to say the least.
