I have been caring for children my whole life as I was the oldest of 3 girls by 5 years. I enjoy working with children of all ages because it's such a positive and rewarding experience being able to watch them learn and grow. I have extensive experience with infants (multiples) as young as 3 months old all the way up to early teenagers. I have taken care of infants & children on a full time basis, on call/part-time basis, over nights/weekends away for the past 5 years. When parents were out of town I was responsible for all aspects of childcare including but was not limited to bathing, feeding, dressing, all personal care, transporting to and from sports or other extracurricular activities that were scheduled during the time I was on duty. During this time I always incorporate fun activities with the kids! I feel it is important for Read more the kids to feel comfortable and fun activities such as arts and crafts projects, reading and playing games they are familiar with helps us create a bond and get to know each other better. CPR & First Aid ~was a previous CPR instructor for 6 years straight. I have an extensive medical/ nursing background which the families I have worked with find extremely comforting and say it gives them peace of mind knowing their children are in safe qualified hands. Reliable transportation, clean driving record, flexibility works great with all the families I have been with in the past most parents needed the flexibility due to crazy busy work schedules. I enjoy going on walks and taking kids to the park to relax on the grass, play hide and seek, swing, swim at the pool and enjoy exploring the outdoors. I also love stimulating their minds at local museums, zoos, and children's groups such as Mommy (or nanny) and Me music classes, etc. At home my favorite things to do are read books, do art projects and play fun and educational game, and of course homework when necessary! I love arts and crafts because it allows children to get in touch with their creative imagination. I love mealtime with children. I think it is fun getting them involved in making dinner and being interactive with them. Making clean-up time fun is always a priority! I would look forward to setting up a time to meet with you and your family. Childrens book: "Where the Wild Things Are" is one of my favorites. I can also provide clean driving record & back ground check verification.
