I have been working with kids of all ages for the past 6 years and extremely enjoy watching them gain new experiences, confidence and experiential knowledge. I started out working with kids as being a member of the Leadership Team for a nonprofit that works with children with disabilities. I worked closely to build an inclusive and accepting environment for people of all ages. I have also taught swimming lessons with my local YMCA to children aging from 6 months old to 12 years old and really enjoyed watching them gain the skills and confidence for them to be safe while enjoying being in or around water. I have also worked with 24 Hour Fitness and ran their kids club center. I worked for Americorps for a year in Boulder and taught environmental education lessons to K-12 students through out Boulder Public Schools. This past summer I worked for Avid4Adventure Read more and was an experiential educator for children aging from 3-12 years old. I taught canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking and climbing skills as well facilitate team building, problem solving and communication skills. Through my summer with Avid4Adventure I earned my Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification.
