I began working with children when I was 12 and started babysitting. I've worked as a "mother's helper" for kids ages 2-8. I mostly helped with snack time and dinner, play time, shopping, laundry and light housekeeping. I have worked as an after school nanny for two children ages 3 and 7: homework, snack time and playtime. After that I became a TA at a preschool ages 6 months to 5 years old and then was in charge of the summer program with children ages 5-12 (mostly field trips, breakfast, lunch and snack). I am currently caring for a 16 month old boy whom I adore and am sad to leave but am moving back to New York from Colorado. I have a huge family with lots of children including a niece and nephew that I wish I could see more (but they live in NY). My most recent nanny Read more job was with a wonderul toddler who has moved to north carolina, unfortunately. Working with kids is a dream job for me where I can have fun and feel fulfilled while taking care of somebody else and making a difference in their life. I love arts and crafts of all kinds, being outside, hula hooping, music (although I am far from musically inclined I enjoy all music :) ) reading and animals. I can change a diaper in 25 seconds and eyeball 8oz of milk before you can say nap time!! I would say my Lego and mega block class is expert and I know a ton of nursery rhymes and sing alongs. I like to practice basic sign language with children. I can cook (vegetarian or with meat), can double as a house cleaner if needed (I've also worked as a house keeper) I have a reliable safe car with a clean drivers license. Non smoker, non lazy :)
