Hi! My name is Mykelti Walker and I am a student at the University of Colorado in CO Springs getting my degree in inclusive elementary education. This degree program is teaching me so much about all children and I am receiving training in special education and teaching ESL. I am currently in a period of saving, taking a year away from school and would love to transition from my part time job to working with children again. I am the oldest of 7, three recently adopted by my parents and have around six years of experience in caregiving. My most recent caregiving position was as a co-teacher at the Goddard School in Castle Rock. I have also nannies for a family in Parker, whom I still keep in touch with, and was a substitute teacher in Elbert county.
