Thanks for stopping by! I am a certified teacher looking to serve families by nannying or babysitting for children. Here is a bit of my story: Being raised in a big family with lots of cousins, childcare and the responsibility that comes with it has come naturally to me. I had my first part-time job as a mother's helper at the age of 12 and continued to babysit throughout high school as a Red Cross Certified Babysitter. During my last two years of high school, I was a part-time afternoon aid for a girl with cerebral palsy. At the age of 18, I received Red Cross Certification in Life Guarding and CPR and immediately used this credential to work as a counselor to elementary and middle school girls, leading activities and wilderness overnight trips for at a camp in Wisconsin. Once in college, the choice to study education was an Read more easy one. I currently hold a B.A. in Elementary Education from Wheaton College (IL) and have taught kindergarten for the past year and a half. Currently, I am a teacher's assistant at kids' art camps and can be routinely found enjoying the great outdoors. I am Red Cross certified in CPR and First Aid. Not only have I been exposed and trained to meet children's needs, but I also love making children feel comfortable, safe, and loved. Spending any amount of time with kids is always an adventure, one that brings me joy. I would be honored to work with your family!
