My name is Kaitlyn, or Katy for short. I'm experienced with children, elderly, and pets in my personal and professional life. Recently, I moved from Massachusetts to Colorado Springs to live near family. In my professional life, I have taken care of two sets of families. The first has two children, ages two and four, with a Belgian Malinois (a dog). Every time I visited, we would play all kinds of games: hide and seek, trains, duck-duck-goose, and many others. Once in a while, when the parents said it was okay, we would watch a movie or television. Television, movies, and video games are great, but are not preferred when I watch children. I believe interactions, with all kinds of games (non-electronic) and the great outdoors are the best ways for kids to grow up. The second family I watched have three kids, ages two, five, and seven, with a Read more yellow labrador. We would color, play duck-duck-goose, hide and seek, and play with cars. It's always fun to play these games with children of all ages. Regarding animals, I'm not afraid of any sized dog. I love all shapes and sizes. I don't mind cats, reptiles, fish, or birds, though most of my experience is with dogs. I don't mind light housekeeping, such as cleaning up after the kids (I expect to help clean with them), light laundry, cooking one or two meals, or helping wherever you need me. For two years, I lived with my grandma, whose 72 years of age. In two years she started going blind, needing a walker, and losing her ability to drive. I helped clean, run errands, cook, and perform other tasks for her. However, I have no professional experience with the elderly or infants, only personal. I don't smoke, and drinking will not be a problem. References are happily given upon request.
