Hi, I'm Kate! :) I have an outgoing upbeat personality and I always put safety first. My last position was with the Walt Disney Corporation teaching English to young children in Shanghai, China. I love children and have spent the previous seven years (2007-2014) working with them while living abroad as a teacher in Asia. In total I have over 6 years of classroom experience, and have spent 6 months as a live in teacher to two boys (ages 8 and 10) in Seoul, Korea. We played games, did crafts and projects, watched movies in foreign languages, read books, worked on their homework, and completed their chores. I hold a BA in English and I am TEFL-C certified (teach English as a foreign language - specializing in children), which means I've studied early childhood development. I am also CPR certified. I do not smoke or own a tv. I speak Read more basic Korean and Mandarin and appreciate art, animals, reading, science, and travel! I'm looking for: a long term commitment in the Downtown Denver, Capital Hill, Congress Park, or Aurora area I prefer elementary school age children, but am open to other situations full or nearly full time negotiable rates I greatly enjoy how children experience the world and participating in their discovery and exploration is fantastic!
