Hello! I am a 24 year old young professional looking to ease out of my job in the nonprofit world and start working and interacting with other people. I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Political Science and Spanish, decided to stay in Colorado and donated a year of service to foster care kids through AmeriCorps. During that service I developed a love for kids of all ages and all backgrounds - it was an amazing experience in learning how to work with all kinds of young people. The children I worked with in foster care forever changed the way I look at the world; they shaped my path and I definitely learned more from them then they will ever know. After my AmeriCorps service, I relocated to Denver to continue working with foster care youth in a more behind-the-scenes capacity. After two years of working with Read more the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center I am discovering that I miss being around other people, especially young people and I am looking to transfer my energies into something more face-to-face. While in school at Colorado State University I nannied part-time and I have continued to babysit throughout my young professional career. I have experience with boys and girls from 7 months to 12 years of age and I enjoying interacting with all kids. I miss learning and growing with young minds. While I was a nanny, I found myself learning so much from the children I cared for, which gave me the chance to grow as a person. I love the challenge of interacting with young people and the happiness that they bring to other's without even knowing it. I have a great fear of sitting behind a desk for the rest of my life and I miss being active, being outside, and doing activities everyday! I have a background in art and sports and I love being alive in my community. I am certified in CPR / First Aid and Mental Health First Aid. I am a creative and responsible person who loves being around young people.
