I started working with children as a YMCA summer camp counselor when I was 14 years old in Boulder, CO. I have two younger siblings, my sister and I grew up taking care of the baby and now a super awkward pre-teen! I worked with neighborhood families as a babysitter all through high school in addition to the YMCA. During college I worked with two families as a nanny over the summer and during the school year. I spent two summers at a camp called Roundup River ranch, located in Gypsum, CO. The camp is concentrated on providing a typical summer camp experience for children ages 7-17 who cannot attend many other summer camps due to a serious illness. I graduated from the University of Denver last June (2015) with a degree in Biology and am currently working as Florist. I am hoping to find an opportunity to work with Read more children again three days a week (preferably Monday-Wednesday) for full days through this upcoming school year. I love to read to children, Im very active, I love to hike, fish, camp, (anything outdoors) on my weekends, so I'd love to work with a family that values that realm of activity as well. My best memories with my childhood nannies were outdoors either skiing, swimming, or getting to visit the library! I love to cook, for children and adults alike, so I'd be interested in a family that is interested in feeding their children a healthy and balanced diet. I am open to travel, and can be flexible if you find yourself in a pinch at any point.
