Ever since I can remember, possibly around the age of 5 or 6 I've been taking care of ones smaller and younger than I. It could be that I was an only child, that always wanted siblings, that I feel the need to care for and look after those that are younger and not as able as I. From 4th grade to the middle of 12th, every other morning I help with feeding and readying the special needs children down the road. I was a nanny from about 16 and a half to 18. I would pick the children up from school, (aged 4-11), get them back to their house, get snacks going, sometimes we would watch tv and play a game or two, then we'd tackle homework, and I'd start supper. Usually, watched them about... 5-7 hours a day during the school year. About once a week, id take Read more them to the movies or the park, or to a museum. i watched them for two summers. generally about 12 hours monday-friday. at the least we went for a swim everyday. Because I love reading, we normally read atleast 30 minutes a day. I prepared all of the meals. Decided what the younger ones would wear. I stopped nannying for them, when I moved up here. I've had a lot of work with babies, and children under two years old. When I was between 5 and 10 my mother and I always went up to see my grandmother in Oklahoma. She ran a day care and preschool. I always got to help out with feeding, and diaper changes. Also l, at work, I'm the go gal when someone needs a sitter. Currently, I am sitting once and twice a week for a woman with three month old twins. She and her husband will be moving at the new year, so I decided to give this site shot. I love animals. I was at CSU majoring in Pre vet. I have a puppy, named Dallas. He is a Black and Tan coonhound. Is very good with kids of all ages, he listens really well for his age. I grew up on a ranch, in Texas. I feel that the ranch environment has taught me Hard work, a little better I'd say than the average person my age. I like new experiences and challenges. I think that I am a really good influence on little minds.
