I am one of the oldest in a very large family. By family I mean siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. I've had what you call hands on experience. I've always loved children, even when I was one. My nick-name in the family is mini-mom. Unfortunately most of my younger family members are older now and they don't need someone to care for them as much and I miss it! I loved being needed and helping them to grow. I've had experience playing pretend, teaching/encouraging reading, cooking, organizing, and assisting in the various crafts the kids have wanted to try. Other than my family, I did some babysitting during high school for kids that ranged from six moths to 12 years old.
