Hello! I am so excited to introduce myself to you and your kiddos! My name is Dory and I have been a full time professional caregiver in Fort Collins since 2017! Before moving to Fort Collins I worked as the director of youth Programming at a YMCA in Boston, MA and before that in a variety of settings as a camp counselor, outdoor educator, and playgroup leader. When I come to work with your family, I truly believe I am in service to your entire family. You may hire me to play with the kiddos and make sure they get fed, but I know that you are also hiring me to be able to give yourself permission to take a break (even if its just 10 minutes in the car!) and a little peace of mind that the littles are safe and supported when you are not around. Play is serious work (for adults too!), and although I love a good movie night, my approach to childcare can be summed up as: be outside, be curious, and be silly! I believe in fostering individuality and self confidence within a brave container of clear boundaries and unconditional love. You can find me outside, singing, reading, and walking everywhere. I am so grateful that working with children keeps me silly and fun. My expertise lies in supporting your family through the first months of life up through the 8th year. I am currently available for part time, occasional, and temporary work, and I am looking so forward to meeting you!
