In addition to being a Mom, I am a licensed educator with endorsements in K-8 General Education and Secondary Science. My most recent job, however, prior to having my daughter, was at The Goddard School -Early Childhood Education (ECE)-. I worked as a resource teacher and am experienced with working with infants as young as six weeks to pre-k. Throughout college I was a nanny and a swim instructor (infant to adult). Additionally, I have worked in special education as a para-educator for a child with severe needs and taught high school science. I currently am an ECE level 1 educator and am working to be fully certified in Early Childhood Education. I have completed safe sleep training through the state of Colorado. I am trained and experienced with using Epi-Pens, and have a valid first-aid/CPR (including infant) certification as well as blood-born pathogen (BBP). My driving record is clean Read more and have a safe and reliable vehicle. My personal philosophies for environmental stewardship, place-based education, outdoor play and adventure, gardening and healthy eating are important things that I will share with your child(ren) and family. I have lived/worked on a farm in Vermont and taught garden education in Manhattan, New York. I have backpacked through California and the desert southwest (AZ, UT, NM) and am always up for an adventure! I love cooking, gardening, hiking, exploring, reading, using imagination to create fun learning opportunities, and really dislike television and junk food. I am seeking positions that have consistent hours and pay that would allow my daughter to accompany me. My husband also works full-time as a teacher; finding affordable childcare has been a challenge. Having her at work with me would beneficial for us as well as future nanny families. Our daughter is nearly four weeks old and is an exceptionally easy baby. That said, I am extremely competent and am able to manage many duties with integrity and with a level of exceptional satisfaction. My abilities span from household management and organizing outings and activities; homework help and educational enrichment; meal preparation and including children in culinary experiences; household cleaning and other chores.
