Hello, my name is Rachel. I absolutely love kids and pets (whether it be dogs, cats, or even fish). I am currently a freshman at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and I am a Psychology major. I have been pet sitting and house sitting for neighbors and family friends for four years now. My biggest pet sitting job was watching three large dogs, a cat, and a snake for an entire month (one of the dogs also required extensive medication while I was watching him). I mentored and tutored first graders when I was in middle school, and I have had various random babysitting jobs throughout high school. I have a younger brother whom I have babysat quite often (and got along with), thus I am quite experienced with watching younger children, especially boys. I am very patient, I am creative and extremely caring, I have the ability to be imaginative (which I believe to be crucial for watching kids), I love being outdoors and getting active, I consider myself to be a very kind person, and I am very responsible. I am hard working and experienced with cleaning and maintaining households as well. Another skill that comes in handy is my ability to cook and bake. I actually really enjoy cooking food, and would love to do so for kids! Overall, watching children and pets is the ideal summer job for me. I would take excellent care of your kids and pets, as well as enjoy the job.
