I have worked with children my entire life. My mother's daycare sparked a huge interest in working with children when I was a little girl. I grew up helping her with whatever was needed. I was a lifeguard throughout high school and taught Red Cross to children of all ages. I volunteered at The Boys and Girls Club in college and was a preschool teacher at Lawton Taylor Academy shortly after I graduated. When my husband enlisted in the Marine Corps, I substitute taught children age 5-years to 18-years old. Children have always played a central role in my life.
