Hello! My name is Marla and I am a mother of two, now adult, children. I spent most of my life in accounting, but a few years ago I left to pursue my passion of working with children! I began as an instructional assistant at an elementary school where I primarily worked with kindergarten as well as students with high needs both behavioral and academic. Since then I have become First Aid, Child CPR and CPI certified. I would love to not only babysit, but also tutor, engage in fun activities and go on field trips if that is what your family is looking for. Where to start? You can NOT go wrong with Marla. We are so grateful to have found her! She's been doing after school care for our 2 boys age 9 and 10 for only a short while but she already feels like a part of the family. She has a heart of gold and shares it lovingly with our family. She's a self starter - When I give her directions she always goes above and beyond. When I don't give her directions and she knows we are maxed out we come home to a dinner already prepared when we are just starting to consider what we have in the fridge we can throw together. The boys ADORE her. She's the right amount of alpha to make sure they are not pushing limits for sport and once that's established they have so much fun with her. She really gets how to manage kids so everything gets done (homework) and they stay on schedule (getting to activities, sports, etc) and still find time to giggle. Marla has a great smile and she wears it often. I have a stressful life and just walking in the door to her great attitude and smile brings levity to our whole family. Can't recommend her enough!
