I became a caregiver more than 25 years ago because of a love for children of all ages. My first real experience as a caregiver involved being the only person outside of family who was able to calm down a very fussy baby at my church when I was ten years old. Due to that reality I was recruited to work in the nursery during church every Sunday and would also occasionally work for that family as a mother's helper. That experience led to other mother's helpers jobs that turned into both babysitting and nanny jobs as I became an adult. Throughout my career I have had the ability to stay home with my own children occasionally by using my skills as a babysitter/nanny to help out other parents who worked outside the house.
