I am the mother of 2 wonderful teenage girls, have been a substitute teacher and resource/ special education aide in the Weld RE-4 school district off and on for the past 10 years, was a nanny throughout college and grew up as the oldest of 5 children- so basically my whole life has prepared me to give special care and attention to your child! I have been recertified every other year through the school district in CPR and First Aid. I am currently helping out a friend who is a teacher and watching her almost 1 year old baby girl, but she will no longer be in my care once school is out for the summer. After spending the last couple of months with this sweet toddler, I have decided I would like to continue to childcare in my home through the summer. I treat the little girl in my Read more current care as if she were my own. We take walks to the park, read books, listen/sing/dance to music, go to the library and other places around town. Through all of our experiences I work on vocabulary as I explain life we see going on around us. Screen time is very minimal (I think we watched TV once when she wasn't feeling well). I have 2 dogs who are great with the baby and are another source of entertainment for her. In my work at the school district I have taught children K-8th grade and have a heart for all ages. Depending on the age and needs of your child, I can incorporate working with them on any subject area they may need extra help in or just have an interest in that they would like to explore more deeply.
