I hold a dual degree in biology and psychology from the University of Connecticut. I have taken classes in child development, infancy through adolescence, and human development and family studies throughout the course of my schooling. As such, I am fluent in the literature pertaining to the theories and practices involved in working with children. In addition, my mother is the educational director of an early childhood education center in Danbury, CT. I have learned a lot working with her in her classroom, and it has afforded me tremendous practical knowledge. I also have a five-year-old niece with whom I spend a lot of time and often babysit. In that relationship, she has taught me as much as I hope I have taught her.
