Currently I'm a certified 7-12 math teacher in the state of CT, so I've worked with 14-18-year-olds on a day-to-day basis for the past three years. In college, I worked at a day care for about a year when I was home from school until the center went out of business. I also cared for children aged seven and nine 2 summers ago for summer work, but they no longer needed someone on a regular basis as the kids were getting older. In high school, I regularly babysat for a family friends with two kids aged one and six on and off for about 5 years, in addition to babysitting for other families in my area. Teaching is my passion and I love working with kids. I don't have kids of my own yet, so I enjoy child care jobs in the summer because I miss getting to see my Read more students every day. I also very much enjoy younger children, even though I teach teenagers, so it's nice to have a change of pace. Plus, it's a great way to earn some extra money with all the free time I have.
