My name is Karen. I have an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield, CT. Before getting accepted into the CARE program (Education Program) at Eastern, I volunteered in the Children's Reading Room at Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield, CT. I also volunteered at an after school program in Windham Middle School in Windham, CT. I have completed two clinical placements while at Eastern Connecticut State University, in a first grade classroom and a fifth grade classroom. I have a Bachelor of Science in English with a concentration in Elementary Education. During this school year, I've had two long term substitute teaching jobs. I love working with children and I also have two twin brothers, so I have a lot of experience working with children and I think nannying would be a great job for the summer!
