My name is Katharina, I am 19 years old and very interested in your job posting. I am currently a first year student at the University of Dayton, and I am majoring in early childhood education. I get out of school around May 5th, so I am flexible to begin when need be! I live in Fairfield, CT and have my whole life. I have been babysitting local families since I was 14 years old (6 years total of experience). I have worked with families with children who were one years old, up until middle schoolers. In high school I volunteered working at cheerleading camps in the summer, as well as being apart of the club Best Buddies, which is a club that aims to foster one-to-one friendships between people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and typical peers. This past semester I worked with preschoolers ages 3-5 as a part Read more of a field observation for the Education program at my University. Last spring I had a month long internship at Mill Hill Elementary school with a fourth grade class as well. I plan on getting an endorsement in fourth and fifth grade, which means I will be able to teach preschoolers up until fifth grade, and plan on getting a certification in dyslexia. I am happy to provide references, as well as meet over FaceTime or the phone, due to the fact I am still at school.
