I have been working with children since high school, where I took a child development course and served as a babysitter for numerous families. Before attending the University of Connecticut I nannied for a 2-year-old girl and still work for their family from time to time. During college, I was a corps member for the Americorps program Jumpstart where I dedicated hours on a weekly basis to enhancing the literary skills of a pre-kindergarten classroom. I also worked as a Husky Reads Intern where we incorporated healthy eating habits as well as ways to stay active to a pre-school group of children. I have a passion for community service and acting as a nurturing role model for children. It brings great joy to me to care for children, as I am excited to have children of my own one day.
