My experience with kids (other than my own) is limited to my years as a piano teacher. Beginners were my favorites and I taught age 4 to adult. As well as young children, I get along well with teens. I was a Big Sister for a year when I was 36 years old and my little sister is now 37! We have stayed in touch for 26 years; I took her to dinner last week. I spent 4 years as a home companion to a couple with Alzheimer's keeping them occupied and happy with social outings, reading, music, and exercise. I cooked dinner, helped with light household chores, took them on walks, and took them to medical and dental appointments. I was EMT certified in the early 90s, but not currently. I have been CPR certified (as well as the responder level above that) and will get recertified upon request. Read more I've worked as an art director, so I definitely enjoy arts and crafts. I love to sing, read aloud, and I can play a few chords on a guitar. If you want an older, mature, young grandma kind of caregiver for your child, then I'd love to talk with you.
