I am loving, optimistic, empathetic, patient and energetic and I am not too scared of the challenges that come along while working with young children. I have been married for 12 years and have no children of my own but I have enjoyed working with children and families since I arrived in the USA in 1989. Most of the children I had worked with were part of my bridal party when I got married in 2001. I am currently employed as a part time teacher at a Daycare setting with babies, infants, toddlers and preschoolers but most of my experience has been with preschoolers.  I  am certified in CPR and First Aid, and in the medicinal application of the Epi Pen. In addition to the CDA Credential and Head Teacher Certification, I also have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Communication Disorders. Read more The intent is to obtain a Masters in Speech Pathology and to open my own business.   My philosophy about children is that it is their job to be curious and it is my job to keep them safe and to educate them as I accompany them on their curious journey. I do this by interacting with them and by providing clear boundaries as well as fun activities and opportunities that promote their learning experiences. As much as I have taught and enhanced their growing knowledge and vocabulary, I now tend to view my mission as being that of a facilitator of children, modeling the right way as a spring-board for them. I do believe that clear communication and consistency are important especially when it comes to maintaining respect and discipline. I also believe that laughter is the best medicine and that reading comprehension is a powerful antidote.
