I started babysitting in high school, and naturally felt drawn to the energy and joy of being with kids, I also have younger siblings and cousins so felt comfortable from the beggining with the experience i already had.  I taught art camps during college for kids in my neighborhood, and see art making as a tool for kids in developing their own autonomy and as an outlet to deal with their feelings.  I babysat for a little girl during graduate school in Boston from the time she was 8 mths to 3 years old, as well as for her older brother starting when he was 8.  I have sat for other families including a five year old who i did art projects with for a year, a 2 year old, 2 different 8 mth olds, twin six year olds, and since I've been in New York have worked with a Read more 3 year old and a 3 mth old (separately) and a family of 3 kids with an 8 year old, five year old, and 2 year old.  I briefly taught for an after school art program while in Boston with middle school aged kids.  I love going on adventures with kids, having fun and new experiences with them, playing games, doing projects, and having fun.
