~ NANNY BIOGRAPHY ~ Kimberly Pietroniro-Ruff My name is Kimberly and I am 31 years old. I am a mother to a 9 year old boy and I live in Norwalk with my fiancé. I was born and raised in Feeding Hills MA. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. Being the oldest of four children, I assisted my parents in caring for my younger brothers and sister. My brother was diagnosed with Epilepsy at a very young age. He slowly became severely mentally and physically disabled and needed great amounts of attention and special care. He was and always will be my true inspiration! Right out of high school I began working at The Center School for Crisis Intervention and Assessment inWest Springfield,MA. This was a school specially designed for handicapped children, children with behavior problems, and developmentally delayed children on special Read more educational plans. I was a teachers aide to a 3rd grade classroom and also a 1:1 aide to numerous children there for over 3 years. I worked closely with both parents and teachers to see that the child's special education plans were being correctly addressed and followed. Duties here included attending IEP meetings, communicating with parents via phone and daily logs, teaching life skills, and working closely with children to help them through daily life at school. I have also worked as a nanny over the past few years. Some of my experiences include working full time for - Southwick, MA (3 kids 12, 7, and newborn) Westport Ct (3 kids under 6), Norwalk (newborn twins), and New Caanan (2 toddlers). Duties at these positions included driving kids back and forth to school, engaging them in fun and learning activities, bouncing bears, library time, playing outside, arts and crafts, cooking and meal preparation, and light housekeeping. I am full of energy and love to participate in sports, including gymnastics, softball, swimming, and soccer. I have my own reliable transportation and don't mind doing laundry, cooking, and cleaning. Your ad for this job really caught my attention as I see it as the next logical step in my professional development. It is so important to me to secure full time employment right now to ensure stability for my son and I. I feel that I can offer your family a valuable mix of enthusiasm and proficiency. I would love the opportunity to meet with you and your family for an interview! Please feel free to contact me with any questions! Warm Regards Kimberly 203 945-8293
