Hello, My name is Kayla Labrecque. Working with Children has always been a passion of mine, casing my dream profession to be teaching. Through my athleticism, and love for sports, the occupation of teaching physical education is the perfect career path for me. Throughout the years of being on various soccer teams, different clubs and attending college, I learned the importance of hard work, along with setting high goals and accomplishing what seams to be the impossible. My main objective is to become a Physical Education and Health Teacher so I can make a difference in students lives. I am determined to have a huge impact on children. I want to influence the students, so they can acquire any goal they wish to reach. Hard work is extremely important, and I want to be able to motivate my students to always use their best effort when completing a task. It Read more is important for me to make connections and have amazing rapport with students. Getting to know each students on a more personal level will get my students to respect me and value my opinion. It will also show them that I care and want what is best for them. Leading up to college I have had many jobs working with children. I was also a preschool teacher for Sunday school at College Church in Northampton, throughout my high school career. My love for children has caused me to seek out many babysitting opportunities throughout high school. For three years, my occupation was to babysit a little girl named Trinity. When I first started my job, she was an infant. My duties were to pick her up from day-dare immediately after school. I then would watch her until 6pm. Because she was an infant, I was responsible for feeding her, changing her diaper and all the care that she needed during the time I had her. I was also her families’ primary babysitter, if her parents had plans for the night. Caring for Trinity for three years caused me to develop a strong bond with her. I enjoyed every second of taking care of her and I am still in touch with her family to this day. Prior to caring for Trinity, I have babysat many other families in the town. All of the children I have cared for have ranged from the ages of six weeks old until age twelve. I enjoyed getting to know each child and watching them grow over the years. In middle school I took the baby sitting certification course that included a CPR certification. I have used my skills and knowledge from the course to be the best babysitter I can be.
