I am currently a freshman at Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH where I am studying Social work, Theology, and Catechetics. I am from Woodstock, CT where I recently graduated from Woodstock Academy. In my free time from studying, I was involved with many extra-curricular. I enjoyed my time volunteering with Woodstock Academy's music department, being a part of the Woodstock Volunteer Fire Department, and at Westview Health Care Center. I have also some exciting opportunities in high school for leadership including Band President, Stage Manager, and a leader in my youth group. I have received awards such as the Headmaster's Award, Outstanding Female Undergraduate Instrumentalist, and Junior Staff Member of the Week at June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation. I have had the opportunity to work multiple jobs, giving me experience in many fields. By working at June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation, I had a week of training in both 2015 and 2016 of how to work with young children and teenagers, as well as receiving a CPR Certification and BSA Lifeguard Certification. I have babysat occasionally for some families in the past, frequently babysitting my niece. Even though I haven't had a consistent babysitting opportunity, working at J.N. Webster Scout Reservation gave me experience during two entire summers of working with kids, teaching them, and making sure they are safe. Along with working hard to teach and keep children safe, I am also very creative. I love doing fun projects! I also love spending time with kids outside and I love getting kids active, especially in the Summer! Currently, I am a student at Franciscan University studying Social Work and Theology. My studies primarily focus on the intrinsic value of people, which I believe strengthens my personal morals that would help me care for children.
