I am 22 years old and a recent graduate from the George Washington University, where I studied political science and history. I have nannied multiple times in the past, for all ages 1 through 6, and held a position as a summer camp counselor in 2012, living with and teaching girls 7 through 12 and I absolutely love working with children. Primarily this past summer, I nannied for a two year old boy. As an energetic and demanding toddler, my time with him was spent engaging him intellectually and creatively, creating new games, educational activities and strategies to keep up with his fast-paced two-year-old attention span. This past December I worked as a mother's helper, caring for a three-year old and 6 month old. I helped with the feeding, diaper changing and nap time for both children, and am very comfortable with sitting for infants. In 2012, I spent my Read more summer as a camp counselor at an eight-week sleep away camp. This position at Camp KenWood was one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling experiences I have ever had in my whole life, and involved everything from being an emotional advisor for homesickness, self-confidence and friend struggles to doing laundry, teaching photography and being a full-time friend to my campers. There, I lived and worked primarily with girls six through twelve, as well as teaching photography and video classes to the boys camp. In other experience, I have tutored first and second graders in reading and vocabulary through DC Reads, Reading Partners for over a year, as well as I have worked in depth with the DC Girls Scouts through my sorority Chapter. I am extremely bubbly, patient, creative and always strive to engage and teach children that I babysit for. I love playing games, doing projects, going for walks, being silly and creative. I am also Infant and Child CPR Certified.
