My name is Khiana and I am a Howard University alumna. I received my Masters in Education with a concentration in Education Leadership and Policy Studies in May 2018. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education at Howard University. I have several years of formal classroom experience, with 5 years of experience teaching lower elementary (K-3). I've been babysitting and working with kids for over 10 years. Staring my sophomore year of high-school, I've worked at various Early Learning Centers, Schools and Daycares. In my free time, I volunteer as a Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts and act as a mentor with a local non-profit organization. My experience in early elementary has prompted me to have a strong focus in foundational literacy. I have a successful background in guided reading instruction and intervention. Khiana was amazing! The kids took to her right away. When my son suddenly became ill, she helped occupy my other 2 kids while we got everything taken care of. We thought that our night out was ruined, but she agreed to stay while we went to a restaurant around the corner to get dinner. Very flexible and accomodating. Will definitely hire her again.
