Twenty-something professional who has been babysitting since the 7th grade. The term babysitter has changed since I was younger and recently I have found myself helping parents around the house doing 'Nanny' type tasks (in addition to playing with the children). This includes laundry, cooking/baking, light cleaning, etc. I currently work full-time for the federal government but due to the furlough I am avaiable on Friday's all day/night. I have watched children of all ages from infants to teenagers. Growing up we had a family black lab and cat; Smokey and Tigger. My parents just recently got another black lab, Bentley (who is a puppy going through training) so I am comfortable being around pets. I also took spanish in high school so I can read in spanish a speak very little. Katie is a very capable and reliable sitter. We have used her once, but she also came to our house for an interview. She was early for both appointments. My girls (a 2 year old and 5 year old) really like Katie. After she sat for us the girls described their day with her as being very exciting and filled with many fun activities. It was clear she spent a lot of quality time with them engaging them in role playing, games, play dough, and reading books. We will definitely use her again. Ruth
