Growing up, my mother enrolled my brother and I into our local Boys & Girls Club. Everyday, our staff made sure that we were being productive and creative. They were constantly seeking our input on for new ideas that would keep our attention. The constant support and encouragement that I received from them inspired me. I then impact they made on my peers and I. In 2008, I signed up to volunteer at that same Boys & Girls club which eventually turned into a paid position. I worked there for a year and left to go into retail. In 2012, I returned to the Boys & Girls Club after being offered a position doing administrative work. After deciding that administrative work was not in my best interest, I chose to take on a position in which I would have my own classroom with 4-5 year old children. I loved the Read more enthusiasm and energy that my children brought to my classroom because I was always able to match it with a fun activity included in my lesson plan. While working there, I also started working for a group home agency with adults with mental disabilities for 3-4 years. I ended my employment at the Boys & Girls club in 2014 for my college studies. I am currently a CNA, working in a long term care facility. Hoping to become a Nurse or Respiratory Therapist for A.I. DuPont. I am CPR/BLS Certified.
