I have taught pre-k for 12 + years (with 1 year break to nanny for an awesome family before they moved to CA). My school ranges from 6 weeks to 6 years of age, so I have worked with and am comfortable with all of these ages. I helped raised my ex-husband's daughter from age 2 to age 16. I have a nursing background and have recently completed my patient care tech certification. With this, I am CPR/First Aid certified for both adults and children, certified as a phlebotomist, EKG tech, BGM certification and able to deliver exceptional care. We thought Karyn was fantastic with the children - she was always singing and teaching them different colors/shapes/body parts. We had explained to Karyn how important the communication piece is to us so that neither side was left in a hard situation and she agreed. She worked a total of 2 weeks for us (Monday - Wednesday) and was going full time the next week. On Sunday evening we received a text saying how much she liked our family, but that she needed to find something that was a better fit for her. Which we totally understand, but she refused to give us a reason and didn't give us a notice, therefore leaving us with 12 hours total to figure out what to do. We do not want a revolving door of Nancy's and really thought it work out - unfortunately Karyn did not keep the promise of communication and really left our family in a bad spot.
