Dear Families, The children call me Ms. Deb or Nanny. I am a lovable, affectionate, and enthusiastic nanny with over 12 years experience caring for the children of professional families, ages infant – 12 years.  Helping children discover their world through age appropriate activities is a joyful and fulfilling pursuit. I believe there's no better job in the world! As a teaching nanny I enjoy interacting and directing the learning process of infants and children who are exploring their world and constantly absorbing information. You’ll see me get down on the floor at their level and interact with them as they meet new discoveries each day. I'm able to become a kid again for events such as tea parties, army battles, and playing games. With toddlers and older children, I enjoy teaching about social graces and manners and the importance of using simple words such as "please" and "thank you". Read more I’ve also been a mother’s helper, assisting Mom with home-school, driving the children to various lessons and activities, shopping, and meal preparation.  I'm a great cook if you like traditional meals such as meatloaf and mashed potatoes and I can follow just about any recipe. Loving discipline is an essential part of childhood development and I would be an extension of the parents’ philosophy this area. I'm also a dog and cat lover. Currently, I'm the owner of a Sheltie named Laddie that is well-mannered and a lot of fun. The neighborhood children love to watch him chase a flashlight.
