I have been a teacher of many different disciplines, including music, ESL, and special needs. Although I love working in a classroom setting, I enjoy working with adults and children with special needs in a one-to-one setting as well. This past summer I worked as a counselor for adults and children with special needs including Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and more. I worked with them on a three to seven day basis, assisting them in becoming more social and independent. This work was very rewarding and I would love to continue down this career path as a caregiver.
