My entire adult life has been spent working with children in one capacity or another. During college I babysat for my professors as well as family and friends while my friends worked in stores and restaurants. After graduating and becoming an early childhood education teacher I still babysat at night and on the weekends until I had children of my own. When my children were 2 and 4 years old I began teaching in public elementary schools and eventually became an assistant principal. Advocating for children and their parents has always been a passion as I truly believe that every single human being is a gift and deserves nothing less than the best. My motto is "treat every soul who crosses your path exactly the way you would want to be treated". After serving in the school system for over 20 years I resigned in December of 2014 to care Read more for my ailing mother and aging father. During this time I realized how precious life is and decided to pursue what has always been my passion. I made the decision to work with infants, children and their families full time. My years of working with children and families in various settings has given me a very unique experience that I will bring to the job. I have worked with highly gifted and talented children as well as those who have faced various challenges. Each and every child I have worked with has taught me lessons that I have added to my "bag of tricks". I have learned that communication, patience, compassion and above all kindness are of utmost importance when working with children. My education includes an A.A. In Child Development, B.A. In Elementary Education and an MEd in Educational Leadership. I am the mother of 2 grown children as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. I look forward to sharing my life experiences and talents with the children and families who allow me the opportunity to share them.
