Hi, my name is Jaime! I am 22 years old. I love working with children, so a job as a nanny or a babysitter is perfect for me! I grew up in a suburb in Pennsylvania and went to college in a small town in Ohio where I graduated with a major in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. I love the outdoors and doing things such as camping and hiking and and biking. I also love reading for hours and hours curled up under a tree or on a park bench or just on my bed. More than anything, however, I love playing with children, teaching them as well as learning from them. As a teenager, I babysat my neighbor's 3 young children for years. Then in the 4 summers between my years at college, I worked at a YMCA summer camp. During the day, I led a group Read more of 10-15 children in various activities and in the evening I lived with 8-14 young girls in a cabin. Over my 4 summers there, I worked with children ranging from ages 5-13. This past summer I was the Literary Arts Camp director, in charge of planning and leading theme weeks based on popular book series such as Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. I know how to handle minor injuries and how to calm down a sad or distressed child. I am willing to clean up the children's messes and do some light housework. I don't have a lot of experience cooking, but I can follow directions well and learn quickly. I am Wilderness First Aid Trained, CPR/First Aid certified, and Archery Instructor certified.
